Many services are available to you
The CISSS de Laval offers many services to the elderly and people with loss of autonomy, their families and caregivers, including:
- Advice on nutrition as well as exercise, healthy lifestyles and fall prevention.
- Autonomy assessment.
- Home adaptation needs assessment.
- Respite for family caregivers.
- Supportive care.
- End of life care.
- Medical care.
- Psychosocial support.
Depending on the case, these services can be offered at the CLSC, at home, in a day center, in a rehabilitation unit, in temporary or long-term accommodation. Some services are offered with the collaboration of community partners. When regular services no longer meet the needs of a person with a great loss of autonomy, a request for accommodation can be considered with the help of social workers at the hospital or the CLSC
