  • Financial support for adults taking part in ID-ASD day activities

    Program Goals

    • Support adults who have an intellectual disability (ID) or autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and their families to help them integrate and participate socially.
    • Cover some of the costs of participating in day activities for these adults.

    Target Clients

The target clients for this service are people 18 and over who have been diagnosed with ID-ASD. These individuals must have finished their regular schooling and be attending a regular day activity that has a summer session.

    Eligibility

    • Be a resident of Laval.
    • Live at home (i.e., your own house, apartment).
    • Have an income within the limits set out in the CISSS de Laval management guide.
    • Provide an annual statement of income as well as a statement of income for any adult living with the person who is receiving the subsidy.

How Do I Receive This Financial Support?

Financial support is given to any adult participating in an ID-ASD day activity. The subsidy is calculated as a percentage based on the income allocated to the cost of the day activity. The reimbursement is paid directly to the organization.

Adult activities available through financial support are complementary to existing program services (e.g., family support). This allowance is renewable every year based on a financial assessment of the individual and available funding.
