    Target clients

Teens under the age of 18 who are residents of Laval and who abuse drugs and/or alcohol or who may have a dependence that requires specialized addiction services, including family support services.

    General program goals

    • Provide a range of specialized addiction rehabilitation services for teens using a population approach (i.e., reducing the prevalence of the problem and its harm). Another goal is to help these teens become active partners in their recovery.
    • Assess the severity of the physical or psychological harm from substance abuse and the problems caused by this lifestyle.
    • Stimulate and support their motivation to make lifestyle changes related to their problematic use of substances.
    • Help them develop an identity beyond that of a drug user through a feeling of empowerment.
    • Support them as they develop and maintain a lifestyle that is free from substance addiction.
    • Involve family members in the therapy process to support these teens and help everyone reconnect as a family.
