What are prevention workshops?
The purpose of these workshops is to understand the importance of a healthy lifestyle when it comes to chronic cardiometabolic diseases and their risk factors. We will support you as you change your behaviour to improve your health and quality of life.
The Cible Santé team from the CISSS de Laval runs a series of meetings led by a nutritionist, social worker or nurse, and kinesiologist. The workshop goals are to help you:
- Know the foods to eat to improve your health (balanced meals, healthy eating habits, good eating behaviours)
- Become aware of the impact of stress on your health
- Learn how you can get involved in managing your health
- Better understand the impact of smoking
- Discover the importance of physical activity on your health (benefits, recommendations)
