  • After your treatment

The effects of the radiation will last for a few weeks after your final treatment. This is why you will need to continue to receive care after your treatment is done.

Your side effects may increase for a few weeks after your treatment, but they will gradually decrease. New side effects may also appear.

At some point, you may feel alone or anxious because of your treatment. These reactions are normal and not a cause for concern.

Even if you are no longer monitored on a daily basis, don’t hesitate to contact your health care team if you have any questions or concerns.

Your nurse will contact you 1 to 2 weeks after your treatment ends to make sure everything is going well and to answer your questions.

You will meet with your radiation oncologist a few weeks after your therapy (variable depending on the type of treatment).
