Cerebral vascular accident Program (CVA)

Services

The program offers Intensive Functional Rehabilitation (IFR), as well as work, home and community reintegration services.

Clients

Adults who have had a cerebral vascular accident (stroke) and who have physical or cognitive impairments that impact on their ability to carry out activities of daily living. The person must demonstrate an ability to participate in and benefit from the rehabilitation program.

Location of intervention

If required, persons may be admitted to the hospital or services may be provided on an ambulatory basis. Interventions can also take place in the community such as the person’s residence, workplace or elsewhere.
