  • Fall prevention: Programme intégré d'équilibre dynamique (PIED) Workshop for seniors

    The goal of this program is to prevent falls and fractures in clients aged 55 and over who live in the community. The program provides exercise sessions and information documents to help you improve your balance and avoid falling.

    The meetings are led by staff from the CISSS de Laval.

    Duration:

    Two 90-minute courses per week, for 12 weeks.

    Program content

    • Program with mild- to moderate-intensity exercises`
    • Prevention documents on safe behaviour and on how to make your home safe

    Eligibility

    • Be able to get around without walking assistance
    • Be able to stand without support for 20 to 30 minutes
    • Be able to work in a group
    • Be a resident of Laval
