Le programme de cancérologie du CISSS de Laval vous offre cette brochure pour vous permettre de trouver les ressources dont vous avez besoin pour mieux vivre avec le cancer.

Un diagnostic de cancer affecte plusieurs aspects de votre vie. Il est important pour nous de vous offrir les ressources et informations dont vous aurez besoin à toutes les étapes de la trajectoire de soins.

Que vous soyez une personne atteinte de cancer ou un proche, cette brochure s’adresse à vous.

Cancer Support groups

Look Good Feel Better Program

The Look Good Feel Better campaign provides women who are undergoing chemotherapy or radiation treatment with makeup created for their needs. During small workshops or seminars, professional cosmetologists give advice on skin care, wigs, and hairstyles for temporary hair loss.

This free program is for all women living with cancer and is an initiative of the Canadian Cosmetic, Toiletry and Fragrance Association.

Schedule:

 Second Monday of every month from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.

Laval prostate cancer support group

In collaboration with the CISSS de Laval, the /typo3conf/l10n/fr/rtehtmlarea/Resources/Private/Language/fr.locallang_accessibilityicons.xlf:external_link_new_window_altText Canadian Cancer Society runs free monthly meetings for men who have prostate cancer and for their family caregivers. A professional and a trained volunteer run the meeting. This group lets male prostate cancer patients and their family caregivers open up about their concerns in separate sub-groups to get practical information about the concrete aspects of the disease.

Schedule: 

 “Coffee klatches” the first Monday of every month (except from June-August)
from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
